As being the small country which has an area of 1,48,484 sq. km, Nepal has a very diverse population with over 80 ethnic groups. While the official language is Nepali, only 44.6% of the population actually speak it. The rest use one of the other 123 languages spoken in Nepal.

A country that Holds many Records and containing many world heritages:
With a home for world’s highest mountain, i.e. Mount Everest Nepal is one and only one country in the world with elevation starting from 70 m from sea level to 8848 m from sea level. We all are familiar about world heritage sites listed by UNESCO. Kathmandu itself is home for seven such world heritage sites under cultural categories. Within the radius of 15 kilometers of Kathmandu Valley, all those sites are located. “Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square” are a similar architecture which used to be a king’s palace before the unification of Nepal. Similarly, Bouddhanath Stupa, Swoyambhunath Stupa” is similar architecture with the white dome. Finally, Pashupatinath Temple, Changunarayan Temple are the Hindu Temples.
Unique National Flag:
We know most of the country of the world has the rectangle in shape flag whereas Nepal is the only country having two triangles combine together. The crimson red in flag indicates the bravery of Nepali people and is the country’s national color and the blue border represents peace and harmony. Additionally, the stylized moon represents the calm demeanor and purity of spirit of the Nepali people, while the stylized sun represents their fierce resolve.
Colony Free Country:
Nepal celebrates an Independence Day as perhaps all thanks to brave and fierce Solider famously known as Bir Gorkhali. Nepal was never colonialized by other military forces, even Our neighboring country India was colonialized by The British. So why didn’t they conquer Nepal? All because we had brave soldiers and some badass kings.
Geographical Variations:
The geographical variation between the southern and northern creates a greater possibility of a wide range of variety of flora and fauna. National Flower:
The national flower of Nepal is Rhododendron famously know as Laliguras. It blooms at spring season and also Nepal has more than 250 species of a different type of flora. Also, Nepal has the record of Tallest Grassland which is “Chitwan National Park”.
Geographically Elongated:
It is geographically elongate from the east to west and compact from the North to south. The distance between north to south is 100 km. One can experience boiling hot tropical climate to the unnerving arctic weather.
