Lumbini

lumbini is one of the UNESCO heritage sites outside the Kathmandu valley. lumbini is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in Rupandehi district in Nepal. it is belived to be a birthplace of Siddharth Gautam. lumbini is a religious site that can be visited by anybody and explore the monasteries from all around the Lumbini. There are a lot of ancient relics and the monasteries built by countries from all over the world. each of those buildings showcases the art and belief followed by the Buddhist of that country. the most significant monument in Lumbini is the Mayadevi temple and Ashoka pillar next to it. the pillar contains the inscription stating it as the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, the founder of Buddhism.
