It is the cheapest way to travel; around $7 to 9 USD is enough for travel expenses. The local bus takes about 7 to 8 hrs. to reach the final destination or origin point of the Langtang trek, which may be quite a long journey rather than a private vehicle. You have an option for road transportation, and you can hire a 4WD private vehicle, which will cost approximately $200-$250 for a round trip. It takes about a half day to ride.

The southern section of Langtang National park is covered by sal forest and gradually taken over by the hill forest(2000-2600m), which contains Chirpine, Rhododendron, and Nepalese alder, where the temperate zone(2600-3000M) is covered mainly by oak forest fading into an old-growth forest of silver fir, hemlock, and larch. Where the lower sub-alpine zone (3000-3600m) contains Nepalese larch (larixnepalensis), the only deciduous conifer in the region is found in this National park.

Permits required for Langtang valley trekking
Mainly three kinds of permits are required for travelers who are trekking in this region:
Firstly, travelers need the TIMS (Trekkers Information Management System), which costs USD 17.
Secondly, they need Lang Tang National Park Entry Permit, which costs USD 30.
Thirdly,Shivapuri National park entry permit, which costs USD $ 5
