Bindhyabasini Temple

In the city of lakes ‘Pokhara,’ you will find this beautiful looking Bindhyabasini Temple. It is one of the foremost Shaktipiths and one of the oldest temples in Nepal with the idol of goddess Bhagawati. The goddess can be used to refer any of the Hindu goddesses like Durga, Parvati, Saraswati, Lakshmi, Kali, and Kannaki. Devotees usually visit on Saturdays to perform animal sacrifices. The Hindu festival of Dashain sees a large number of believers coming to offer the sacrifice. It is situated at a small hill-lock in between the main Old market and Bagar. This temple is 3000ft above the sea level. While visiting the temple you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Himalayas.
